Well here we are with another state joining 26 other states in ruling that obamacare is unconstitutional. Now for most of us we already knew that, but there is a vast majority that has no clue. There are people that still think that what the government does has no affect on them. Well to them people I would like to say, if the government can tell you that you MUST purchase health care from them, then it will not be long before they tell you that you have no rights. The first right that will go is our right to bear arms. The second amendment give us that right but if the government can tell us we have to have health coverage, then it will not be long before they say we cannot have guns either. The sad part of that will be the government will tell us it is for our own safety. This whole mess started a long time ago when the government started passing laws that infringed on our right to make our own choice in what we do. The one law that I can think of is the law that requires us to wear seatbelts in cars. Now before you start jumping on the band wagon of it saves lives please hear me out. The government done the studies and determined that wearing a seat belt can help to prevent death in an automobile crash. That fact is not under dispute with me, the fact that it is a crime not to wear one is. Now any person that has brains can look at the figures and make up their mind that to wear a seat belt while in a vehicle can help prevent your death. Right there is where the government needed to stop and not go any farther by passing laws to enforce it. The choice to wear a seat belt should be left up to the individual. Now if a person makes that choice not to wear a seat belt even after being given the fact that it could save their life, then the consequences of what happens is theirs. If they made that choice and have been involved in a collision then their level of emergency care is limited because they made that choice. Remember stupid people make stupid choices. We cannot fix stupid and we do not need to pass laws that try to do that. If stupid people are killed because they made the choice not to wear a seat belt then that is ok. We need to thin out the gene pool anyway. I know that is harsh but truth is truth and somebody has to die. I mean come on if people are that stupid then why should they be allowed to consume our limited resources and drain the public healthcare system. Here is another example if you put a hot cup of coffee between your legs and it spills on you why is the company that sold you that coffee responsible for your own stupidity? I mean you did want HOT coffee did you not? Yea, that was the McDonald’s coffee case but it makes my point, stupid people do stupid things. We can look around us at all of the stupid things people do every day. Why should the government burden me with laws that are designed to protect stupid people, let us live or die by our own choices? If I jump out of an airplane without a parachute should I expect the government to pay for my stupid choice? I do not think so. If that were so then the government should pass a law mandating that every airplane provide each passenger with a parachute in the event of an emergency. That would seem ludicrous to me, but even saying that there are people that would say “That’s a good idea.”
Well food for thought today
Joe
