Well Mr. Obama gave his all important speech last night. Did you watch it on TV? Naw neither did I. Although, I did read it and as I write I will also read and give you my commentary on it so here goes. Well one thing he said "With their votes, they've determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties." The question I ask is why? Why state that government is now a shared responsibility. At what point in time did it stop being a shared responsibility? Oh that's right when the democrats were in control it is not shared, but when the republicans take control THEN it is supposed to be shared. Mr. Obama you are a hypocrite!! You never spoke about sharing when YOUR party was in control. Now I am sure at this point you will say shut up you republican sympathizer. Au contraire I am neither republican nor democrat. I do not like to be put in a boxes as label do but for you people that have to have a label for me just call me an AMERICAN!!! I know not what you were expecting but that is who I am.
He also said "What's more, we are the first nation to be founded for the sake of an idea – the idea that each of us deserves the chance to shape our own destiny." Our destiny or the one the government wants to shove down our throats. If I was allowed to choose my destiny then it would be without the government telling me I have to do certain things and I cannot have certain things. I would also like to travel as I want to, without the government searching me or my possessions when I fly. I know at this point all of you yellowbelly and liberals will say "We need protection from terrorist" All you people are doing is playing right into their hands because the government thinks that all of the terrorist are little old white haired ladies. Or middle aged people with computers. I may be wrong but I think all of the terrorist are from the Middle East. I say that not to be prejudice but fact is fact so kiss my a$$. As long as I am on this subject lets clear up some misunderstanding. This is America we speak English. If you wish to communicate in this country then learn English. If not, go back to your 'perfect country" and leave mine alone.
Another thing "Sustaining the American Dream has never been about standing pat. It has required each generation to sacrifice, and struggle, and meet the demands of a new age." Then please tell me Mr. Obama when is the government going…" to sacrifice, and struggle, and meet the demands of a new age." I do not see anybody in government going hungry or having to choose between food and medicine. Most everyone I see appears to be well feed some even seem to be over feed. The truth of how it should have been written is "Sustaining the American dream has never been about standing pat for you. It has and will continue to be required of each and every person in America to give up more money and more freedom so we can line are pockets and feel good about ourselves." As my hero would say "For shame for shame"
"We need to take responsibility for our deficit, and reform our government. That's how our people will prosper." In this one thing Mr. Obama you are correct. YOU the Federal Government needs to take responsibility for YOUR deficit. Stop passing the buck onto the back of US citizens.
