Well tomorrow is the big day for football fans. I would not mind watching the game but I do not get the channel it is on, so I will miss another one. LOL Not the first one I missed and most likely not the last. Dec. 29 2012 marked a day in history that I did not hear of until the other day, and I heard that through an email. I will just paste the email I got so you can read it. < A lesson to be learned on the Anniversary of Wounded Knee December 29, 2012 marks the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota . These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began AFTER the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. When the final round had flown of the 297 dead or dying, two thirds (200) were women and children. Around 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed; over half cut down by friendly fire from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry were deemed “National Heroes” and awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of cowardice. We do not hear of Wounded Knee today. It is not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little does exist about Wounded Knee is normally the sanitized, “Official Government Explanation”, or the historically and factually inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre on the movie screen. Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people. Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment- The right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept, musket balls were a precious commodity in the wilds of early America , and were certainly not wasted “target shooting”. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defense purposes should such tyranny rise in the United States . As time goes on, the average citizen in the United States continues to lose personal freedom or “liberty”. Far too many times unjust bills are passed and signed into law under the guise of “for your safety” or “for your protection”. The Patriot Act signed into law by G.W. Bush, then expanded, and continued by Barack Obama is just one of many examples of American citizens being stripped of their rights and privacy for “safety”. Now, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is on the table, and will, most likely be taken away for “our safety”. Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute: Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will. Throughout history, evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible, one of the first stories is that of Cain killing Abel. We cannot legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law defective people will always find a way around it. And another thought: Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? “In the hands of those with the power - governments”. The greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Whom do governments target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders…but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat. Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise. Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer, “We were disarmed before it happened”. Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust. It was confiscation of firearms from the people. Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we shouldn’t be in such a hurry to surrender our Right to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment, we have no right to defend our families and ourselves.> "Author Unknown" The point is when was the last time you heard of the massacre at Wounded Knee? It is not taught in schools anymore. The government does not want anyone to remember THAT they ordered the killing of innocent people including women and children Have a great day

I took the time to read the presidents inauguration address from the Atlantic Wire. He did quote part of The Declaration of Independence but he forgot the next sentence that I think is very important allow me to quote that for you. "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," but we have a government that is so big and so powerful that it does what it wants even against what the American people would ask for. A question here did you ask the government for health care? I did not but yet they shoved it right down our throats. Do you feel you have your basic rights that being Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness? or do you feel hindered by all the government has done to our rights. Only Americans can change this we must hold our government accountable for their actions. I was talking to friend of mine we were discussing gun rights we agreed that there is a shortage of even ammunition for all gun types. I feel the reason is that some of the true red blooded Americans that are left feel that this government is working on disarming them. A disarmed citizen is then a slave to that government. Sound like a tyrant to me or a dictator. I wrote in my other blog Day 15997 about the similarities between this county and Communism. I know you bunch of liberals out there will cry foul you can not talk about the US like that. Sorry I still (as of right now) have that right, but true that right will disappear before long. Do you not understand that when they can infringe on one right it will go away soon then a snowball to hell from there. The one right I can thing of off the top of my head is separation of church and state. Which is not in the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights. The 1st Amendment is clear which is where you will read that here Congress can not make a religion for the county that is an individual right. So, being an individual right then who has control over that? you and no Government can change that not even the Supreme Court, but yet they infringe on it daily. Remember the day when we had pledge of allegiance and pray in schools? The government took that away. So what is next for America? but Amendment number 2. well what a day today and tomorrow will be. The president will be inaugurated today privately and publicly tomorrow(yawn). I read in an email that people have no more sense of honor to our country, which I tend to agree with. This country was founded on the honor and loyalty of our forefathers. People have no respect for our flag, no loyalty to each other, and no respect. People right here in America believe it is OK to burn our flag. People will allow the flag to touch the ground and see no harm done. Years ago we knew how to fold, honor and respect the flag. I would be willing to bet that most people have no idea why the flag if folded a certain way for a veteran that has died. I can only remember that it is folded thirteen time and each fold represents something. The good thing is here is the answer. Please understand it is symbolic more then fact, but it is still relevant. People do not fly the flag like used to be done. It is flown just for special days. What happened to people that flew their flag most of the year and done so properly. I can tell you that generation has passed on and nobody has or will fill their shoes. Do you know if the flag is flown at night it must be illuminated from dusk to dawn? That leads us to loyalty to the flag and others. There is a lot of people including relatives that will lie, steal, and cheat you just to get what they want. It use to be no loyalty among thief's but now it's among each other. We have become a society that is more selfish than any society in history. We have to be first in every thing from the gas pump to the bank. Me I let every one go on let them go first I am trying to slow my life down and take time to "Stop and Smell the Roses." I may not succeed every day but I am working on me...are you? Respect kind of goes along with loyalty, because if you respect someone then most of the time you will respect them also. Well have a great day Joe

I did not write this got it in an email. We should all read and heed what is said. when veterans are homeless and children are hungry but yet we send billions to other countries some thing need to change. Wal-Mart vs. The Morons Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute! Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.) 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart. You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy. This should be read and understood by all Americans… Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!! To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons: The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure. You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars. AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM?? Folks, keep this circulating. It is very well stated. Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected' (they never read anything) and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel. AND I know what's wrong. We have lost our minds to "Political Correctness" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone please tell me what’s wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!! We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,??????????? In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey ..And now Pakistan ........previous home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!! Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks… AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc.

Here we are six days into a new year have you been able to keep your resolutions? I have, I had resolved to not make any LOL Yea, I know no goals no progress. I make progress just by getting up each morning. I could just lay in bed and no one would mind, except Annie, she is my three year old Chihuahua. Now she really counts on me to take her outside, which I do. There is a lot of people that face the question should I even get out of bed and will it be worth it. Depression hurts and hurts real bad, at times you feel like life is not worth even fighting for. Why fight through another day? today will most likely be a repeat of yesterday. Set around listening to music, take the dog out, eat, and maybe clean a little. I do not live in a dirty house it's clean just could use a little cleaning. Anytime I live alone I maintain a clean house because it is just me and this time Annie. I have had Annie for just about two months and have become very attached to her already. She is what gets me out of bed and outside, maybe not for long because where I live it's cold this morning it was like 30 degrees. I can't wait for some warmer weather so we can go for longer walks. I wish everyone success with their resolutions "YOU CAN DO IT'

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I do hope everyone enjoyed the get together that they had planned and returned home safely. I just wish that the message of don't drink and drive could sink into some peoples heads. Here where I live there is a guy that has 20+ DUI charges. How in the world does that happen? He has proven that he will drive regardless, so what do we do with people like that. I have no answer that would not be cruel to him. Off that subject some how the government made a deal so we would not go over the "fiscal cliff" oops sorry that word is banned for 2013 so lets call it a "financial mountain" Sadly we are still on a mountain looking down the government still has to come back and revisit the "financial mountain" in three months. Next, time it will be different because each side will not give in to the other side for fear of loosing face with the public. I am not sure how you feel but in my book they lost my respect many years ago. They no longer look out for the American people but what will keep them in office a next term. What needs to happen is anyone that has spent two terms in office be sent back home and new representatives sent up, you know new faces new ideas. I mean how come someone doesn't come up with a bill to replace out screwed up tax system how about a flat tax you pay the same as I do and throw out all but personal deductions and mortgage interest rate. The American dream own your home and retire to your house. People have a hard time just coming up with the down payment. I hope I have not spoiled your New Year, but do give thought to what I have said. Joe
